- Renaissance Restaurant is planning its grand opening in Port Jefferson this fall. The new eatery will take up the vacant spot left by the Village way restaurant at the Chandler Square Mall. (Greater Port Jefferson)
- Republican Edward A. Flood received 2,491 votes in the State Assembly 4th District Republican primary elections. His opponent, Thomas Wiermann, earned 2,375. Both candidates were running for the chair occupied by the Democratic incumbent Steve Englebright. The results are too close to be called. (Patch)
- A new spot to get cold treats is now open just 7 miles away from Port Jefferson Main Street. Smoothie restaurant, Anona Shack, is now available at Heritage Park in Mount Sinai. Anna Shack also serves on wheels with its food truck. (LongIsland.com)
- A sidewalk gallery will be put together at 41 N Country Rd, in Port Jefferson. The work of local artists Mac Titmus, Jenise Craig, Sally Keller, and more will be displayed on July 10 at 2 p.m. (Patch)
