1. A center for hyperbaric medicine and wound healing will open on the second floor of Port Jefferson’s St. Charles Hospital on July 18. Two hyperbaric chambers will help treat patients with non-healing injuries to prevent infections and other severe conditions. (TBR News Media)
2. A firefighter and EMS recruitment day is scheduled for Saturday, July 16. The event will be held at Suffolk County Fire Academy at 102 East Ave. in Yaphank from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. All are welcome. (Long Island.com)
3. A unique but unexpected guest was found in a pool of a Setauket residence. A white swan was removed from the private residence's backyard pool and set free. (News 12 Bronx)
4. Port Jeff Brewing Concert Series features the Scofflaws on Wednesday, July 20. The music will start playing at 7 p.m. at the Port Jefferson Brewing Company at 22 Mill Creek Road. (Port Jeff CofC)
