- Joseph Garcia, from Port Jefferson Station, was convicted Thursday for fatally shooting David Bliss, who is a Shirley resident while the victim was picking up pizza. The crime occurred last year in daylight in a crowded business area and shook the community. (Newsday/Subscription Required)
- Theatre Three in Port Jefferson blooms the season with the "Steel Magnolias" play with the grand opening this weekend. The play portrays a group of women and how their friendship helps them to face tragedies and celebrate triumphs. (Port Jeff Theatre Three)
- Nearby News: Police are seeking the public's help to find a driver involved in a hit-and-run crash in Coram, resulting in the death of a bicyclist who was traveling eastbound on Middle Country Road.
