  3. Paws Of War has been helping American soldiers rescue pets back into the U.S since 2014. The next ones on the list are two kittens who belong to Army Specialist Jenny, who is currently serving in the Middle East and needs help to bring her two new fur friends back home. (Patch)
  4. Port Jefferson Free Library will host a "Sensory Storytime" for kids ages 18-36 months. The program aims to give the kids who don't do as well in large groups an opportunity to listen to stories, dance, and play. The class is set for Tuesday, May 31 at 11 a.m. (PJFL)
  5. The New York Blood Center released an update about the decline in blood donations in the last two months. The shortage is still around even with blood drives in schools and community events slowly coming back.
