- Port Jefferson Theatre Three is hosting a comic night on Saturday, Aug. 20! The Long Island Comedy Show starts at 8 p.m. with local comedians that will take a "laugh out of you!" (Patch)
- Lauren Pazienza from Port Jefferson is accused of pushing an 87-year-old vocal coach to the floor, causing injuries that caused her death. Pazienza will face a tentative trial scheduled for Oct. 6. Last month, Pazienza declined a plea deal, and she pleaded not guilty. (Long Island News12)
- Summer is winding down, and Port Jefferson School District celebrated the last day of summer school with a field day. Kiddos enjoyed games, crafts, and ice pops. The school year starts on Sept. 1. (Port Jeff School District)
