1. "Dress for a mess" this fall in the village of Port Jefferson! The 2022 Window Painting Contest is back! Mark on your calendar Saturday, Oct. 22. The theme is "Halloween or Fall." Teams must be registered to participate in the contest. (Port Jefferson Village Center)
2. A fight between a teenager and a 38-year-old man resulted in a stabbing incident at the parking lot mall on Patchogue Road in Port Jefferson Station. The teen's name has not been released by the police but was charged with physical assault. The victim suffered minor injuries. (Patch)
3. A Superintendent Conference was held at the Port Jefferson School District on Aug. 30. The staff was welcome by the Superintendent of Schools Jessica Schmettan, and Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction Dr. Robert Neidig.
