The Port Jefferson School District’s Peer Leadership Club collected and donated dozens of Halloween costumes for local children.

The students, along with advisers Ms. Kristin Britt and Mrs. Melissa Zinger, set out to make Halloween an even more festive one for children assisted by Port Jefferson-based Give Kids Hope Thrift and Donation Center.
“It was a great success,” Ms. Britt said, in her office at Earl L. Vandermeulen High School, which was overflowing with costumes and bags that were delivered to the organization in time for children to get dressed up for their trick-or-treating adventures.
