The Port Jefferson School District Athletic Department held its seasonal sports fair for elementary students on April 18. The Earl L. Vandermeulen High School varsity student-athletes visited Edna Louise Spear Elementary to visit all of the preK-4th grade classrooms to read books to the students. Each team read a book about their sport which taught lessons of teamwork and persistence. After reading to the classes, the student-athletes met with the fifth graders outdoors at recess.
