Port Jefferson Station Man’s Joke Makes Readers’ Digest

Herman van Vliet submitted a joke for the humor section of national magazine.

A national audience will get the chance to read how funny locals can be.

Herman van Vliet from Port Jefferson Station had one of his jokes selected for the humor section of Readers’ Digest. The joke was one of only a limited number selected for publication from more than 50,000 submissions the magazine gets annually, according to a representative of the magazine.
