Pronoun Lawsuit At Port Jefferson School Sparks Protests: Reports
The lawsuit claims a teacher forced a student to use male pronouns without her consent, the report says.
PORT JEFFERSON STATION, NY — Two opposing protests took place outside a Port Jefferson Station elementary school on Monday evening, after a lawsuit claims a teacher forced a fifth-grade girl to use male pronouns against her will, News12 reported.
The lawsuit filed against Brookhaven-Comsewogue Union School District claims that due to the teacher's treatment, the girl was bullied and expressed suicidal feelings.
Moms for Liberty, which claims to advocate for parental rights in schools, protested outside the district's board of education meeting that the teacher should be fired, and that the girl was being groomed and indoctrinated by them, News12 said.
