- Horse lovers may not have to leave Long Island to find what they’re looking for in a home. This roughly 1-acre property in Miller Place has plenty of amenities for your steed. 95 Hunter
Ave. is being sold for $599,000. This price is "pretty average" for an acre, says licensed real estate agent Kerrin Dullea. There are two areas in the backyard designated for horses. There’s a circular pen meant for training and exercise, and the four-stall barn overlooks that site, with a hay shed inside. - Governor Kathy Hochul has announced the completion of a $32.7 million project that rehabilitated a 1.7-mile stretch of State Route 112 in Suffolk County, enhancing safety and mobility along a key roadway for Long Island motorists. The project made a host of upgrades between Granny Road and the Long Island Expressway interchange in the Town of Brookhaven, making it better able to accommodate the region's growing population and bustling commercial destinations - including the nearby Country Fair Entertainment and Event Park.
