Red Knights' Bike Run To Collect Teddy Bears For Needy Children On Long Island

Teddy bears will be collected to be given to needy children during the holiday season.

BROOKHAVEN TOWN, NY — Brookhaven Town's INTERFACE program will host the Red Knights Motorcycle Club New York Chapter 26 Teddy Bear Run to collect teddy bears for needy children on Nov. 24.

Registration starts at 10:30 a.m. at the Terryville Fire Department Station 1 at 19 Jayne Blvd, Port Jefferson.

The ride kicks off at noon at the fire department and will end with a lunch at Painters’ Restaurant, 416 South Country Rd., Brookhaven at 1 p.m.

Non-riders can meet at the restaurant for lunch.

The run is “rain or shine.”

In the event of inclement weather, participants will forego the ride and bring their new teddy bear to Painters'.

Riders and passengers' participation fees will be $25 or $30 without a teddy bear.

The first 100 riders will receive a free t-shirt.

Donations can also be dropped off at either the fire department's Station 1 or Painters'.
