Port Jeff Students Celebrate The Eerie Season: Students in Edna Louise Spear Elementary School paraded around the outside of the school, with parents and grandparents, cameras in hand, on the sidelines. Dressed as princesses, robots, astronauts, dinosaurs and even Harry Potter, students cheerfully returned to being able to celebrate the traditional autumn event. (Port Jefferson School District)
  2. Annual Meeting & trustee Election: The Library Trustees have announced one seat on the Board is due to expire and a new five-year term will be filled by an election during the Annual Meeting. Trustee Jennifer Schaefer was elected in 2021 to a one-year seat and is eligible for re-election. Interested persons are invited to apply. (Port Jefferson Library)
  3. Resident Parking Sticker Application: Homeowners and tenants from Port Jefferson Village are invited to apply to obtain the resident parking sticker. Applicants can visit the Village website and fill up a request form. For your convenience the sticker will be mailed you. (Village Of Port Jefferson)
  4. Suffolk Bus Camera Program: Cameras have been installed on the outside of most school buses in Suffolk County. If a motorist blows through a bus stop arm, the vehicle's license plate is recorded and the owner is mailed a fine. (Newsday)
