Along with teacher Monica Consalvo, sixth grade social studies students created cards that will be sent to Melville-based Cona Elder Law as part of their Veterans Day card campaign. Port Jefferson Celebrates Royal Homecoming: Royal spirit was in the air this past weekend when the 2021 homecoming festivities brought students, faculty, administrators, board of education members and community residents to the parade down Main Street with floats from each grade level. The fun continued at a celebration in front of the high school and a recognition ceremony of senior football payers and cheerleaders before the afternoon football game against Bayport-Blue Point. Police, with assistance from Stony Brook State University Police, arrested the student on more than a dozen drug charges following an extensive narcotics investigation. It was determined Domingo Zaba, 41, who lived on campus, was allegedly selling drugs through social media. Detectives arrested Zaba on Oct.28, and then executed a search warrant at Zaba’s dorm room. Investigators seized drugs including fentanyl, cocaine, mushrooms, Xanax, ketamine and marijuana.(tbrnewsmedia.com)
