Suffolk Man, 85, Dies In Multi-Vehicle Crash: Police
No charges were filed, police say.
CORAM, NY — A Port Jefferson man died in a Coram crash Friday, police said.
According to Suffolk County police, the crash took place at the intersection of County Road 83 and Route 112 at 11:34 a.m.
A Rocky Point man, 35, was driving a 2019 GMC Sierra pickup northbound on County Road 83 when his truck collided with a 2018 Ford Mustang traveling northbound on Route 112, police said.

The Mustang struck two other vehicles on County Road 83 before coming to a stop; the Sierra struck a van that was stopped in the turning lane on County Road 83, police said.
The driver of the Mustang, David Black, 85, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said. The Rocky Point man and the drivers of
the other vehicles were not injured, police said.

No charges were filed in the crash, and the Ford Mustang and GMC Sierra were impounded for a safety check, police said.
