Suffolk Man Beaten, Critically Injured Outside Of His Home: Police

A 46-year-old Brentwood man has been charged with assault in connection, Suffolk police said.

PORT JEFFERSON STATION, NY — A Brentwood assaulted a man, critically injuring him, outside his Port Jefferson Station home on Friday afternoon, Suffolk police said.

Felix Martinez beat a 56-year-old man in front of a Jarvin Road home at around 12:40 p.m. The man, who lives at the address, was taken to a local hospital for treatment, according to police.

Martinez, 46, was charged with assault and was held overnight for arraignment in First District Court in Central Islip on Saturday, police said.
