1. Port Jefferson students received a unique visitor this week! Coast Guard Petty Officer 3rd Class Brendan Bernath stopped at the Edna Louise Spear Elementary School to thank students for sending out holiday cards for the ones serving in the U.S. Military. (Press Release Desk)

3. The Town of Brookhaven Town is launching the “Bark in the Mew Year” promotion this month to encourage people to adopt. Each kid will color a hand that matches their beautiful skin tone, and then a librarian will put them together in a heart to spread a love message of diversity in our community.
