Vehicle Fire Sparks Blaze Spreading To House, Trees In Port Jefferson: Police

It started at around 3:25 a.m., and all the residents were able to get out unharmed, Suffolk police say.

PORT JEFFERSON, NY — A fire broke out at a home in Port Jefferson, drawing area firefighters early Wednesday morning, Suffolk police said.

It started in a vehicle inside the High Street home's garage, then spread to the house and trees at around 3:25 a.m., according to police.

All of the residents were able to get out unharmed, police said.
