Here's a rundown of local events happening this weekend in the greater Port Jefferson area.
Community Benefit
- Friday night at 5 p.m. is Pasta Night at Port Jefferson High School ($25 to feed a family) to raise money for the senior prom.
- Also on Friday night, the St. Gerard Majella Columbiettes are hosting a raffle and auction at 6:30 p.m. (admission $7).
- The Three Village Historical Society will hold a dinner (catered by Mario's) at the Port Jefferson Village Center on Friday at 7 p.m. ($35) to support its quest to acquire the Crawford barn.
- Join a relaxation circle on Friday evening at Inspired By Life on East Main Street in Port Jefferson.
- The Farmer's Market has returned to Port Jefferson, taking place every Sunday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Frigate parking lot.
- Kids can make a message in a bottle for their moms at the Maritime Explorium on Saturday at 1 p.m.
- Sign up for the Elks Lodge Open Invitational Track Meet on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at JFK Middle School on Jayne Blvd. in Port Jefferson Station.
- The Denice Given Band will perform at Schafer's on Saturday starting at 9 p.m.
