Middle School student Phoenix Jampol was named the Most Motivated Student for the month of October by members of the Port Jefferson Rotary Club at a luncheon on Nov. 27, according to a statement announcing the award released by the school district. Jampol's teacher Allison Giannusa said that her nomination was "based upon his perpetually 'sunny' disposition, diligence as a student, leadership skills and admirable qualities as a caring young citizen," the statement said. The school's principal Antonio Santana, who is also  Rotarian was at the award presentation for Jampol.
