Witches May Be Brewing Up a Pre-Halloween Nor'easter
There is the potential for a powerful coastal storm to strike Long Island next weekend, forecasters say.

A nor'easter could impact Long Island next weekend, bringing with it the potential for heavy rain, gusty winds and coastal flooding.
The work week is expected to be chilly, but dry. Things get interesting, though, come Saturday.
This far out, the National Weather Service is only saying there's a 40 percent chance of rain Saturday night and Sunday.

"A period of heavy rain is most likely along the coast," AccuWeather Meteorologist Evan Duffey says. "Coastal areas may have to contend with beach erosion and flooding at time of high tide...Impacts from gusty winds from the strengthening storm could be a factor throughout the region."
