2 Firefighters Hurt Battling Blaze at Gold Coast Estate

BREAKING: Numerous fire departments responded to the blaze this afternoon.

FLOWER HILL, NY – Two firefighters suffered minor injuries while battling a blaze at a home in Flower Hill Tuesday afternoon, officials said.

The Port Washington Fire Department was alerted to the fire on Drake Lane at 3:20 p.m.

Within an hour, the fire was knocked down and crews searched to confirm that the fire did not travel within the walls.

Two firefighters who sustained minor injuries were treated at the scene and released. No other injuries were reported.

The 5-bed, 5.5 bath home, which was vacant, is currently on the market for $3.3 million.
