2 Stole Credit Cards In Flower Hill, Get Arrested: Police

One of the credit card thieves has not been caught, police say. The trio stole the cards from a vehicle, police say.

FLOWER HILL, NY — Two of three people who stole credit cards from a vehicle in Flower Hill were arrested Tuesday, Nassau police said.

Three adults were seen entering a parked vehicle on Mason Drive by a neighbor who called police around 1:30 a.m., police said. The trio nabbed credit cards inside the vehicle before running away before officers arrived, police said.

Shortly after, police found Logan Jones, 20, of Manhattan, and Tammy Sandoval, 22, of the Bronx, in the parking lot of the Manhasset LIRR train station, police said. They were arrested without incident, police said. Crack cocaine was found in Jones's possession, police said.

Detectives are still looking for another man involved in the credit card theft, police said.

Jones and Sandoval were each charged with fourth-degree grand larceny and second-degree attempted grand larceny.

Jones was also charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Both were set to be arraigned on Tuesday at First District Court, at 99 Main St., Hempstead.
