5k Run/Walk To Help Save Stepping Stones Lighthouse
All proceeds from the race will go to the restoration of the Stepping Stones Lighthouse.

Hundreds of runners are expected to participate in a 5k run/walk to save the Stepping Stones Lighthouse on Sunday, Oct. 14.
Stepping Stones Lighthouse, built in 1878 and obtained by the Town in 2000, helps guide the maritime community safely around the dangerous reefs all within one of the busiest ports in the world.The lighthouse, however, is a bit of a fixer-upper.
The race kicks off at Steppingstone Park in Kings Point at 9 a.m. Check-in and registration begins at 7 a.m.

Registration is $25. After Oct. 12, the fee is $30.

An awards ceremony will follow the run. The run will be held rain or shine.
The Town of North Hempstead partnered with the Great Neck Park District and the Great Neck Historical Society for this event.
