PORT WASHINGTON, NY — Fans of murder mysteries and old-time radio alike are in for a treat this month.

On Thursday, Nov. 18, Landmark Radio Theater will return with its latest production, "Murder in Studio 2B." It's an original play in the classic style of murder mysteries from radio's Golden Age — and will be performed at Landmark on Main Street's Jeanne Rimsky Theater in Port Washington. You can catch it in person at 7:30 p.m. or via livestream.

The story centers around a manipulative soap opera star who meets a violent end just after Lois, a young actress, joins the cast. Authorities are quick to arrest a suspect, but Lois is convinced they've got it all wrong. As tensions mount and dark secrets come to light, can she solve the mystery before the murderer strikes again?

"A cast of ten talented performers will give voice to the story's array of vivid characters, with live music and sound effects created right on stage," Landmark on Main Street said in a statement. "The hour-long performance will also feature period-style station breaks between acts, just as you might have heard them on the old Philco or Zenith receiver in the parlor."

Tickets are now on sale online and at the box office at Landmark on Main Street (232 Main St., Port Washington). All seats are $10. Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination will be required to enter the theater.
