Arrest Made In Nassau County Overdose Death

Police say they've arrested a drug dealer in connection with a fatal overdose in Nassau County.

PORT WASHINGTON, NY — Police have arrested a Manhattan man in connection with an overdose death in Port Washington.

Andrew Banks, 51, of Park Avenue, was arrested Tuesday afternoon without incident in Manhattan, Nassau County police said Wednesday. The arrested was part of so-called "Operation Natalie" in the county's "War Against Opioids."

Banks was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance and criminal sale of a controlled substance. He was expected in court Wednesday in Hempstead.
