BID Awards AR Workshop $2,000 Grant

The owner plans to use the money to make some improvements to her business.

A Port Washington business was recently awarded $2,000 through the Greater Port Washington Business Improvement District's New Tenant Bonus Program.

Anders Ruff (AR) Workshop Port Washington, located at 273 Main St., is a DIY art studio. The business plans to use the grant to purchase furniture for the space, says store owner Tara McGinn.

"The purpose of the New Tenant Bonus Program is to allow our organization to help start a business within the BID District," Mariann Dalimonte, executive director of the BID, said. "We are excited that AR Workshop Design has chosen Port Washington as their new home and we wish them much success."
