Broken LIRR Rail Forcing Main Line Riders To Take Port Washington Line
Some eastbound Main Line trains will bypass Woodside station on Tuesday due to a broken rail.

PORT WASHINGTON, NY — A broken rail on the Long Island Rail Road is forcing some eastbound Main Line trains to bypass Woodside station on Tuesday.
As of 3:56 p.m., the repairs are impacting trains headed to Jamaica. On Twitter, the LIRR said it anticipates the repairs to carry on through most of the P.M. rush hour. In the meantime, Woodside customers can take the Port Washington line to get to their destination.
Woodside Customers: Eastbound Main Line trains to Jamaica continue to bypass Woodside as we make repairs to a broken rail. We estimate that repairs will continue through most of the PM rush.
