Deadline Coming Up For North Shore Univ. Hospital's Photo Contest
The winners of North Shore University Hospital's photo contest will have their work displayed at the facility.
PORT WASHINGTON, NY — Got a passion for photography?
Now's your chance to flaunt your picture-taking skills for the 2021 Auxiliary of North Shore University Hospital's annual photo contest.
Judges are looking for photos that "evoke warm and positive sentiments in hopes of providing a soothing environment for the hospital's patients and their loved ones," officials said in a statement.

The top three finishers will receive a complimentary print of their work, and their signed and titled photographs will be displayed at the hospital.
Submissions can be one of four categories:

- Figurative art
- Flowers
- Landscapes
- Waterscapes
Each entry costs $5 and must be received by Oct. 11. Only 5x7 and 8x10 color prints will be accepted. Officials say all proceeds will go towards the hospital's patient programs.
