Dealer Sold Drugs Inside Port Washington Business: Police

The drug sales were made within 1,000 feet of a school, police say.

An arrest for drug sales was made after a search warrant was conducted at a Main Street business on Wednesday, Port Washington Police say.

According to authorities, police received information that drugs were being sold from Tony's Grab' n Go, located at 26 Main St. The business is located within a short distance of Carrie Palmer Weber Middle School.

The search warrant led to the seizure of drugs and the arrest of Sunil Kumar Sodhi, of Glen Cove.

Sodhi was charged with three counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance within 1,00o feet of a school, three counts of fourth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and four counts of seventh-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance.

Nassau County fire marshalls and the Town of North Hempstead building inspector assisted during the execution of the search warrant, police say.
