Elderly Woman Critically Hurt In Crash With Tractor Trailer
The Sunday evening crash in Roslyn is under investigation.
Detectives are investigating a crash involving a tractor trailer that left an elderly woman in critical condition in Roslyn on Sunday evening.
According to authorities, a tractor trailer was exiting 999 W. Shore Road, the address of the Town of North Hempstead's Solid Waste Management Authority Transfer Station, and attempted to make a left turn when the vehicle was struck by a 2018 Mercedes Benz at 9 p.m.
The driver of the Mercedes, a 78-year-old woman, suffered multiple trauma injuries. She was taken to an area hospital where she was listed in critical condition.

The tractor trailer was being driven by a 60-year-old man. Police did not disclose if he was injured.
