MANHASSET, NY — The RealReal, a purveyor of secondhand luxury fashion, is now open in Manhasset.

Located at 1900 Northern Blvd., the 3,700 square-foot space features consignment services and sells handbags, shoes, accessories, fine jewelry and watches, home and art, and items for kids.

The RealReal — which claims to be the world's largest online marketplace for authenticated, resale luxury goods — aims to give new life to brand-name pieces, such as Chanel, Gucci, and Louis Vuitton.

"With a rigorous authentication process overseen by experts, we provide a safe and reliable platform for consumers to buy and sell their luxury items," the company said. "We do all of the work for consignors, including authenticating, using AI and machine learning to determine optimal pricing, photographing and listing their items, as well as handling shipping and customer service."

The Manhasset store is The RealReal's 15th location nationwide. Back in August, the company opened a pop-up boutique in Roslyn.

"We opened our temporary location back in August due to the demand we were seeing from our Manhasset shopper and since our store opening, we received a great response and have driven new customers who are excited to shop and consign with us," said Courtney Hawkins, vice president of retail. "Our expansion into the Manhasset location will provide a larger, convenient local spot for our growing Long Island community to shop luxury resale, engage with our experts, and learn more about the circular economy."
