PORT WASHINGTON, NY — Neighbors weighed in on a proposed movie studio in Port Washington North at a packed a village meeting Wednesday night, according to a report. Developer Parviz Farahzad bought the former Publishers Clearing House headquarters building on Channel Drive five years ago and has proposed turning it into a sister film studio to his Bethpage location. Plans call for raise the roof on a 100,000-square-foot building to 65 feet and converting a smaller building into office space and storage.

On Wednesday, residents expressed concerns and optimism about the plan.
