I-495 Crash, LIRR Branch Delays: LI Patch AM Traffic Digest

ON THE ROAD...

NASSAU COUNTY

As of 8:19 a.m., a misplaced commercial vehicle on the Northern State Parkway is blocking the entrance ramp at eastbound Exit 35S

From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., construction on the Southern State Parkway will shut down one lane in both directions between Exit 18 - Eagle Avenue and Exit 17S - Hempstead Avenue

As of 7:56 a.m., a crash on westbound I-495 is blocking the right shoulder at Exit 61

ON THE LIRR...

As of 8:50 a.m., trains are running on or close to schedule on all LIRR branches, except the Montauk line.

Per the LIRR: "The 5:39 a.m. train from Montauk due Long Island City at 8:44 a.m. is operating 16 minutes late through Babylon due to a track condition near Islip."
