ON THE ROAD...
NASSAU COUNTY
As of 8:50 a.m., a disabled vehicle on eastbound I-495 is blocking the right shoulder at Exit 36

As of 8:16 a.m., a disabled vehicle on the Northern State Parkway is blocking the right eastbound shoulder at Exit 27N

From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., construction on the Southern State Parkway will shut down one lane of traffic in both directions between Exit 18 and Exit 17S

From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., construction will shut down one lane of traffic in both directions between Bellmore Avenue and Wantagh Avenue on NY 27
SUFFOLK COUNTY

Roadwork on westbound NY 27 will close one lane between Exit 39 and Exit 38, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., roadwork on NY 110 will shut down one lane in both directions between Old Country Road (Huntington) and I-495 Service Road (Suffolk)

Roadwork on NY 111 will close one lane in both directions between West Suffolk Avenue and I-495 LIE (Suffolk), from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., roadwork on NY 25 will close one lane in both directions between Middle Country Road (Smithtown) and Mill Dam Road

From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., construction on NY 112 will shut down one lane in both directions between I-495 South Service Road (Suffolk) and Sunrise Highway South Service Road (NY 27)

Construction on eastbound NY 454 will shut down one lane between New Highway (Smithtown) and Old Town Road (Smithtown), from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Construction on NY 27 will shut down one lane in both directions between Exit 55 and Exit 53, from 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., construction on NY 347 will shut down one lane between eastbound CR 76 (Smithtown) and Gibbs Pond Road
ON THE LIRR...
As of 8:59 a.m., trains are running on or close to schedule on all LIRR branches, except the Port Jefferson and Oyster Bay lines.
Over on the Port Jefferson line, eastbound trains will skip New Hyde Park and Merillon Avenue until Friday, Aug. 12. (from 5 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.). Bus service will be available between these stations and Mineola, according to the LIRR.
If you take the Oyster Bay line, the 8:06 a.m. train from Jamaica to Oyster Bay will not be in service until late 2022. Transportation officials recommend customers take the 7:37 a.m. Ronkonkoma train from Penn Station (7:59 a.m. from Jamaica) and transfer to Mineola for bus service to all stations on the Oyster Bay branch.
