How do you know the local hero?

Friend and neighbor

What does the local hero do?

She founded and operates a nonprofit mission to provide homeless with basic necessity items for survival.

Why do you believe the local hero should be recognized or honored?

She basically started this nonprofit on her own—she doesn’t take a salary. Every dime goes towards the items list needed to supply the bags she hands out.

She has a small group of volunteers. Her contributions to the homeless are different than major organizations in that she puts her own time and effort into every item purchased or donated. She is a tremendous person and deserves this recognition.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the local hero?

She has such a kind heart and spirit she would risk her own time and safety to provide the homeless in Midtown Manhattan with the basic needs they require. It says a lot about her character.

Thank you for all you do, Marci Quinn!
