Man Crashes Into Veterinarian Building During Police Chase: PD
The Roslyn clinic was significantly damaged in the Monday morning crash.

A man who refused to pull over for police ended up crashing into a veterinarian building on Monday morning in Roslyn, police say.
According to authorities, police attempted to pull over a white BMW, driven by 28-year-old Farmingdale resident Wymann Wiggins, that was seen speeding on the westbound Long Island Expressway near Exit 40 at 12:28 a.m.
Police say Wiggins refused to pull over, exited the expressway at Exit 37, turned right onto Mineola Avenue and struck the Roslyn Village Veterinarian, located at 1 Mineola Ave., after failing to negotiate a turn at Wallbridge Lane. The crashed caused significant damage to the building.

Wiggins and his front seat passenger, a 29-year-old woman, were taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Police did not disclose if any people or animals were inside the building at the time of the crash.

Wiggins was charged with second-degree reckless endangerment, third-degree unlawful fleeing of a police officer and multiple vehicle and traffic law violations. He will be arraigned as soon as medically practical.
