Man Shines Flashlight Into Parked Cars, Steals Wallet: Police
Alex Hines faces charges include criminal possession of stolen property, police said.
ROSLYN, NY — A Queens man has been taken into custody for stealing a wallet with credit cards in Roslyn, police said.
Police responded for a call of a suspicious person wearing a dark facial covering, who was shining a flashlight into parked vehicles on Northern Boulevard, during the overnight hours on Wednesday, authorities said.
Alex Hines, 53, was located and soon after was placed under arrest, police said.
Hines was transported to a nearby hospital for assessment and treatment.

He is charged with criminal possession of stolen property, third-degree criminal trespass and the mask transparency act, police said.
Hines was released on a desk appearance ticket to return on August 13.
