'Manhasset Al Fresco' Summer Series Returns This Summer

MANHASSET, NY — There is no better way to enjoy the warm weather than dining al fresco.

And if you're looking for some great outdoor dining spots, then you're in luck.

Beginning Sunday, June 12, the Manhasset Chamber of Commerce will be hosting its annual "Manhasset Al Fresco" summer event. Back for its second year, "Manhasset Al Fresco" is a series of six evenings out on the town for outdoor dining, shopping, and live entertainment.

The event will allow for road closures for foot traffic and outdoor dining on Plandome Road and is scheduled to kick off in June, alternating between South Plandome Road and North Plandome Road.

• Sunday, June 12, from 4 to 9 p.m.
• Sunday, July 10, from 4 to 9 p.m.
• Sunday, Aug. 14, from 6 to 9:30 p.m.

North Plandome Road will be closed to traffic from Hillside Avenue to Colonial Parkway on...

• Sunday, June 26, from 4 to 9 p.m.
• Wednesday, July 24, from 4 to 9 p.m.
• Sunday, Sept. 18, from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m.

At the event, there will be photo opportunities, giveaways, and raffles by Shop Manhasset. Residents are also encouraged to bring their kids to "Chalk the Town." The Chamber will have a children's activity table on most of the event dates.

June 12

• From 4 to 9 p.m., see performances by Manhasset High School's Contemporary Ensemble, Liam Morrisey, the Glenn Strange Band, and the Dave Diamond Band
• At 6:30 p.m., join in honoring the Manhasset High School's Boys Basketball NYS Champions
• Outdoor dining options include Schout Bay Tavern, Herb & Olive, Villa Milano, Buttercooky Bakery & Cafe, and For Five Coffee

June 26

• Watch Manhasset's "Whose Got Talent?"
  • Kids ages 8 to 18 can contact shopmanhasset@gmail.com to be included in the schedule
  • Talents can include musicians, comedians, magicians, dancers, and more
• Outdoor dining options include Louie's Manhasset, Gino's Pizzeria, Green's Irish Pub, Pita Station, and Publicans

Aug. 14

• Watch the 2021 Disney movie "Encanto" and snap a photo with Mirabel and Isabela
• Enjoy performances by Pluckd Studios and Porch Light Band

Sept. 18

• Solve puzzles in the "Can You Escape?" van
