Manhasset Crash: Driver In Critical Condition

The crash occurred around 3 p.m. Thursday, according to police.

MANHASSET, NY — A man is in critical condition after suffering a medical emergency while driving in Manhasset.

The 65-year-old man was driving on Vanderbilt Avenue near Plandome Road around 3 p.m. Thursday when he suffered a medical emergency and crashed into two unoccupied parked vehicles, according to police. Due to the collision, the parked vehicles hit a nearby building.

The man was unconscious when members of the Manhasset-Lakeville Volunteer Fire Department and Nassau County Police Department arrived. The man was transported to a local hospital, where he is listed in serious condition.

No other injuries were reported. Police continue to investigate the crash.
