Manhasset's Fundraiser Scores Big For Local Charity

Funds raised at the "Hoot & Holler, Give a Dollar" fundraiser will help combat hunger on Long Island.

Manhasset High School’s Key Club held their annual Super Bowl Friday fundraiser, “Hoot & Holler, Give a Dollar,” on Feb. 2, raising $850 for Island Harvest.

For the one-day event, students and staff were encouraged to wear their favorite football jerseys and donate $1 to battle hunger on Long Island. Members of the Key Club were stationed at dropoff locations at the middle and high school, as well as at the train station, to collect money from parents, students and commuters as they began their day.

Island Harvest is a nonprofit organization established to end hunger and reduce food waste on Long Island.
