Manufacturer To Close Port Washington Location In 2018

A Port Washington business will permanently shut down and lay off most of its employees by April 2018, according to a filing posted on the New York State website.

Shake-N-Go Fashion, Inc., located at 85 Harbor Road, is the world's largest manufacturer of hair extensions, wigs, hairpieces and accessories, according to the company website.

Most of the company's 92 employees will be permanently laid off between March 29, 2018 and April 30, 2018 while some of the workers will remain on site at the New York facility.

The company will be relocating to a warehouse in Suwanee, Georgia.
