Meet The 2018 May W. Newburger Women's Roll Of Honor Honorees

The Town of North Hempstead has chosen their honorees for the 25th Annual May W. Newburger Women's Roll of Honor, in celebration of Women's History Month.

North Hempstead's Women's Roll of Honor breakfast has been held since 1994 to honor women who have made a contribution to their community, or have accomplished a significant achievement through public or private efforts.

“The North Hempstead community has so many outstanding women who are an inspiration to all,” Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth said in a press release. “We are fortunate to be inducting these accomplished individuals to this year’s Women’s Roll of Honor.”

The event will be held on Wednesday, March 28 at the Clubhouse at Harbor Links in Port Washington from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. The event is free and seating will be available on a first come first serve basis.

North Hempstead resident Shirley Romaine will continue the tradition of reciting an inspirational message at the breakfast.

“I am proud to honor these outstanding women for their incredible service to North Hempstead," Town Clerk and event chairperson Wayne Wink said. "Each of these women reflects the best that our communities have to offer and we are proud to honor them for their work.”

• Lida Edalati— Great Neck
• Rose Lowe— New Hyde Park
• Nancy Lane— Sands Point
• Vivian Moy— Port Washington
