ROSLYN HARBOR, NY — The Nassau County Museum of Art takes on an in-depth look at the Art Deco style with its latest exhibit debuting on Jan. 18.

"Deco at 100" explores significant cultural advancements during Long Island’s Roaring Twenties/Jazz Age movement.

"Typical of deco is the idea of really monumental facades of buildings," Chief Curator Franklin Hill Perrell told Patch.

"We'll have wonderful fashion of the period, [including] flapper outfits, daywear, dresswear [and] partywear," he said.

Deco at 100 runs through June 15. You can purchase in-person or in advance on the museum's website.

"It's a remarkable collection of Art Deco," Perrell said. "We have some wonderful people who have helped us secure fascinating pieces for the upcoming show."

Approximately 200 pieces of art make up the installation, Perrell said.

The Nassau County Museum of Art is located at One Museum Drive in Roslyn Harbor.
