Nassau Police: Steakhouse Manager Stole $88K Over Years
The 61-year-old was arrested on Tuesday for alleged grand larceny, police say.

ROSLYN, NY — Anthony Callari, a 61-year-old from Deer Park, was arrested on Tuesday for alleged grand larceny. Nassau County Police Department believes Callari stole about $88,493 over time from the Roslyn steakhouse where he worked as a butcher manager.
In a press release, county police said management from the Bryant & Cooper Steakhouse reported the issue on Thursday, April 2.
"The defendant systematically voided fraudulent sales slips and removed the said amount from the register in the form of cash,"the release said. "Subsequent to the investigation, the loss between January 2016 to April 2020 was determined to be approximately $88,493.00 dollars US currency.

Callari was arrested without incident and charged with a count of second degree grand larceny and another count of first degree falsifying business records.
He was arraigned on Wednesday and released on an appearance ticket returnable to Nassau County Court May 27.
