The National Night Out celebrations will include live music, dancing, raffles, crime prevention resources, and a parade.
PORT WASHINGTON, NY — National Night Out, a nationwide community-building campaign focused on raising awareness about crime and drug prevention, will take place in Manhasset and Westbury on Tuesday, Aug. 3.
"It is so important that we work to foster unity in the community, and that's exactly what National Night Out does," said North Hempstead Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth. "This annual event focuses on neighborhood anti-crime efforts and drug-prevention awareness while also building better stronger relationships between police and the community. After last year's virtual program, we are very much looking forward to the return of an in-person National Night Out."
The events will take place at different times in Manhasset and Westbury. In addition to live music, dancing, education on crime prevention, and raffles, there will be a parade in Westbury.
