New York Schools Closed For Rest Of Academic Year
BREAKING: New York joins 43 other states that have announced that schools will remain closed through the rest of the academic year.

All New York schools and colleges will remain closed through the end of the academic year, Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced Friday.
"This is the best course of action to keep students, educators and staff safe," he said.
New York is the 44th state to have ordered or recommended school building closures for the rest of the academic year because of the coronavirus, according to Education Week.

Students, parents and teachers have been adjusting to online learning for the past month. It hasn't been all smooth sailing.
Parents say keeping children focused on schoolwork, juggling daytime responsibilities with children's schoolwork and unclear instructions from teachers and schools have been their top three challenges, according to a survey conducted by Canvas, a learning management platform.
