North Hempstead Has FunDays Scheduled This Summer For Senior Citizens
The weekly activities include fitness classes, musical entertainment and dancing at North Hempstead Beach Park.

PORT WASHINGTON, NY — North Hempstead senior citizens can enjoy FunDays on Mondays this summer.
This popular, free senior program will take place every Monday through August 18.
“Our town makes seniors and their well-being a priority, said Supervisor Jennifer DeSena. “This is the town they helped build so we want to make sure they’re aging well and that they feel appreciated in their hometown.”

Organized and hosted by North Hempstead’s Department of Community Services, FunDay Monday offers hundreds of seniors from across the Town a vibrant mix of games, fitness classes, musical entertainment, dancing, arts & crafts and exercise.
The program starts on July 7 and all events take place at North Hempstead Beach Park.

July 7: Welcome Back to Funday Monday Kickoff with Stan & Edi
July 14: Legends – A Tribute to Elvis and Cher
July 21: Hawaii – The Something Special Big Band
July 28: Health Fair sponsored by Northwell Health & DJ John Piazza
August 4: Country Music & Line Dancing Instruction with Happy Trails
August 11: Blue Hawaii
August 19: HomeTown USA - An exciting celebration of American traditions with crafts, hobbies, demos, musical performances, a classic car show and a special Salute to the Troops.
