One River School Of Art + Design Opens In Manhasset

A ribbon cutting was held for the school, which offers immersive experiences for teens, children and adults.

MANHASSET, NY — One River School of Art + Design celebrated its Manhasset opening with a ribbon cutting on Thursday. The school is at 1504 Northern Boulevard. It marks the school's 15th location across the United States and third on Long Island.

Classes will provide immersive experiences for teens, children and adults. Whether people are beginners looking to explore their artistic interests or advanced students aiming to refine their skills, One River School of Art + Design’s classes aim to provide them with a supportive and enriching environment.

CEO Matt Ross founded One River School of Art + Design in 2012. The business developed a project-based curriculum using lessons learned from the most compelling living artists.

"Over the last decade, it’s become clear to me that One River School of Art + Design is making a real difference in the communities we serve," Ross said in a news release. "Very simply, we offer fun, captivating, compelling, creative experiences in state-of-the-art facilities that are conveniently located as well as staffed with passionate world-class instructors and associates."

One River has locations in Port Jefferson and Woodbury, as well.

The grand opening is scheduled for Sept. 23.

Town of North Hempstead Supervisor Jennifer DeSena attended the ribbon cutting, along with Assembly Member Gina Silitti and Manhasset Chamber of Commerce co-chairs Antonietta Manza and Matt Donno.

One River COO Agnes Mauro, as well as Kristy Italiano, Angela Shin, Janie Guedas, represented the school.
