PORT WASHINGTON, NY — North Shore Animal League America, a no-kill shelter and animal rights organization, has returned to its Port Washington campus with more than 40 rescues.
The organization's rescue team returned from Colorado on Sunday with a variety of pure and mixed breeds, including Yorkies, Shih Tzus, Poodles, Maltese, and Chihuahuas. These dogs will be groomed by staff and examined by a veterinary team. Once cleared, they'll be available for adoption, according to the North Shore Animal League.
The rescue mission was a collaboration between North Shore Animal League America and its long-time partner, National Mill Dog Rescue.
